WRG Weekly Session – Character Dialogue with Elisee Junior St Preux

We’re excited to invite you to the first weekly virtual Writers Room session, happening next Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM! This session will be led by peer mentor Elisee Junior St Preux, who will guide us through an in-depth discussion on Character Dialogue—a crucial aspect of crafting compelling stories.

In this session, we’ll explore character dialogue from well-known films and series, discussing what makes it impactful and how it develops a character’s role in the story. If you’d like, bring your own material, and the group may have the opportunity to analyze one of your characters’ dialogue through this lens.

About Elisee Junior St Preux:

Elisee is a Haitian storyteller, known for his work that has premiered at Tribeca and Urbanworld film festivals. He is a recipient of Indeed’s Rising Voices, a 53rd NAACP Image Awards nominee, and an HBO Short Film Award finalist. Elisee brings a unique blend of vintage and modern storytelling to his craft, and we’re thrilled to have him lead this session.
